Stanton County Junior Varsity Earn a Win 9-3

Stanton County Junior Varsity saw a shortened version of a game at Southwestern Heights.  We are thankful for any competition the other school provides. The game started at 2:00 and was played for an hour.  Each inning allowed for 3 runs or 3 outs before retiring the inning.    Free substitution was allowed so the players could get the most amount of action in this short time.

Stanton County was able to get all three runs in each of the three innings for a total of 9 runs.  The Trojan JV allowed Southwester Heights 3 runs in the first inning but held them on the other two. Trojans won 9-3.

Jerzy Ochoa pitched the game, Kayla Pantoja - catcher, Marely Chavez - first, Ella Krier - second, Val Toral and Aurora Walker - third, Jailyn Dominguez - shortstop, Chloe Green and Galilea Don Juan - left field, Birdie Batterton - center field, Alejandra Solis and Tanah Martin - right field.  Yuliana Balderrama was not able to see action since Heights shortened the game and Yulianna was under the weather.  The girls played very well and ran the bases with great aggression. This is where we build the program, and these girls are doing it! We are hopeful for more games in the future schedule.
