Stanton County's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Six By Team Reports

Stanton County had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They blew past the Hugoton Eagles 11-5. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 10-0 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024
David Crane and Yarel Molina were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Crane pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Meanwhile, Molina tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. At the plate, Crane went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double, while Molina went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Stanton County let Marvin Munoz and Anthony Martinez run wild. Munoz went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Martinez went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those three hits gave Munoz a new career-high.
tanton County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matches.
Stanton County's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Hugoton, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.
